Potty Training Part Deux...

So after a yucky bit of the "runs" at the cabin, Finn decided (or I did) that we're getting pretty close D-day (or maybe more aptly P-Day) at the Dougherty house. We're not going to really go all out until after our NJ trip, but he woke up from naps today and wanted to sit on the potty. Here's a picture that show the complexity of potty training - he's clutching jelly beans as a reward for success (we also called dad) but he's not exactly thrilled. I guess, after all, it is just going to the bathroom. But when you're a mother of two in diapers, it feels a whole lot bigger...

Ahhh, jelly beans - nice reward. We've got the gamut going here, and now that Danny's figured out the whole "p" thing, he's working us hard - he demands, m&ms, stickers, phone calls, high fives - you name it - all for one pee! Now, when we get the poop down, that will be huge. Good luck. If you want a war story to appreciate, Danny only goes in "his" potty, so the potty went in the back of the pilot today as we were out for about 4 hours. After meeting Rob for lunch, he had to go, so I got to drive home with a potty full of pee. Good times. This beats a diaper, right?
