Auntie Katie!

We're enjoying part one of Auntie Katie's MN visit. Here are some shots with Katie and her new niece and Katie "babysitting" for Winefest. We're so glad she's here and we're enjoying every minute!

Batman in preschool

Evidently "picture day" at school was the same day as MJ's birth. Since we didn't know that (bigger fish to fry, I suppose) and Grandpa/Grandma took Seamus to school - this is the result.

Still, it's the greatest preschool picture of all time. I just can't wait to rip this sucker out on his first date or his high school graduation. (whichever comes first)

So dainty, sweet, little, one year old Maria, spent a portion of Friday night kicking a little Dougherty boy butt. Seriously, she was totally holding her own (and as the pictures show) giving back just as much as they were dishing out... Look out world...

Baby Blessings

My sister Peggy once told me that a new baby brings peacefulness to a home. At the time, I thought she was a lunatic. But the last two weeks have proven her theory true. Both of the boys have settled down a bit and we've all slowed down considerably. Finn has not turned out to be MJ's nemesis, in fact he'll sit still and smile at her indefinitely when we sit together on a sofa. He loves to hold her and never seems to tire of it. Seamus is equally enchanted - he loves to sing and talk to her - and to kiss her feet (someday they'll have a good laugh about that - or she will at least).
